Vouchers
As part of the Partnership Covenant, a congregation receives vouchers that can be used to
- Sponsor counseling sessions (one session per voucher) or
- Help subsidize the cost of educational presentations by Center staff in Partners’ Sunday school classes, Stephen Ministry training, forums, retreats and other ministry needs.
- Based on your church membership, the number of vouchers received is:
- 800 or more members = 8 vouchers
- 400 - 799 members = 6 vouchers
- 399 members or less = 4 vouchers
SCC’s Voucher Use Policy
1. Each church voucher is worth the fee of a counseling session. The value will vary depending upon who is using the voucher (child, couple, individual) and whether the session for which the voucher is used is an initial session. As such, the value of the voucher may be:
- $160 (Child and Adolescent: initial evaluation of 50 – 75 min.)
- $160 (Family: initial evaluation of 50 – 75 min.)
- $160 (Couple: initial evaluation of 50 - 75 min.)
- $150 (Individual adult: initial evaluation of 50 – 75 min.)
- $110 (Child and Adolescent: 50 min. session)
- $110 (Family: 50 min. session)
- $110 (Couple: 50 min. session)
- $105 (Individual adult: 50 min. session)
2. When a voucher is used for education or consultation, the value of the voucher will be $90 per voucher. The church or the client will be expected to pay the remainder of the fee for the educational event or consultation session. The fee for such sessions is $110 per hour for Partner churches ($125 for non-partners) for one presenter/consultant.
3. Vouchers valued at $90 each may be applied toward the cost of other services at the Center such as premarital consultation or MAP testing. Vouchers may also be applied toward attendance at Center-sponsored conferences or workshops. The church or client will be expected to pay any remaining costs.
*After the session(s) for which a voucher(s) is used, the Center's fee policy becomes effective:
If SCC is a contracted provider with your insurance company, a co-pay and/or co-insurance will be expected at the time of each session. Co-pays/co-insurance/deductibles are determined by your insurance company and your plan. If a co-pay is determined to be incorrect upon receipt of the Explanation of Benefits from the insurance company, you are responsible for any underpayment; SCC will refund any co-pay overpayments. Clients are also responsible for any annual deductible. Please obtain co-pay, co-insurance, deductible and mental health benefits information from your insurance company prior to the first appointment.
If SCC is not a contracted provider with your insurance company, payment in full will be expected at the time of each session. An itemized insurance form will be given to you at each session for submission to your insurance company.
