October 25, 2008 9:00 am - 3:30 pm The Samaritan Counseling Center is offering this popular one-day workshop for couples who want to build or renew a positive connection and learn skills for managing conflict. This workshop incorporates key concepts from "The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work" by John Gottman. Each section of the workshop begins with a presentation from the facilitator, Frank Stalfa, D.Min., L.P.C., a film clip illustrating the issue or skill, private time for the couple to practice, and, finally, group feedback. Group sharing is voluntary! Couples will:
Frank Stalfa, D.Min., L.P.C., is a therapist and pastoral counselor at Samaritan Counseling Center as well as an Associate Professor of Pastoral Theology at Lancaster Theological Seminary. Frank is a Diplomate with the American Psychotherapy Association and a National Board Certified and Licensed Professional Counselor. |
