Ethics in Business Award Event
The Samaritan Counseling Center is pleased to announce the 2009 Ethics in Business Award Event!
The April 23, 2009 reception, dinner and presentation will be held at the newly renovated Legacy at the Lancaster Jewish Community Center. The reception, which will be held in the Fireside Lounge at the Jewish Community Center, will begin at 4:30 pm. Speaker John H. Rose, CFO, The Horst Group will kick off the event.

John H. Rose is senior vice president and chief financial officer of the Horst Group. The Horst Group is a fifth generation company consisting of construction, property management and insurance companies serving the mid-Atlantic region and situated in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania’s Granite Run Corporate Center.
Mr. Rose is a CPA licensed in Maryland and Pennsylvania. He has an extensive background having served as CEO and CFO for several multinational corporations.
Mr. Rose is an active community leader who currently serves on several Boards and Committees such as Chair of EDC Finance Corporation, Lancaster Chamber of Commerce & Industry Board, YMCA, Keswick Pines, LGH Quality Committee and LancasterProspers Steering Committee. He is a Past President of the Pennsylvania Dutch Council of the Boy Scouts.
He is currently a Senior Examiner for the Malcolm Baldrige Award Process and has been involved with the national program for eight years. Prior to being a national examiner, he was involved in helping set up the initial excellence program for The Lancaster Chamber of Commerce & Industry in 1992 and served in various capacities including being an examiner and judge as well as writing the criteria for the local program for a number of years.
Mr. Rose is a graduate of the University of Maryland and served in the US Marine Corps.
